Action Alert: Support a County Council requirement for mixed-income housing at Chevy Chase Libary!

Support using public land to maximize public good! The Chevy Chase Library needs major repairs, and the county can either renovate or redevelop the library with mixed-income housingThe library is located on Connecticut Ave., just an 8-minute walk from a future Purple Line station. County Executive Marc Elrich is now re-considering pursuing redevelopment, but has not made a firm commitment. Councilmember Will Jawando, with co-lead support from Councilmember Hans Riemer, plans to introduce a budget amendment to the County Council that would require affordable housing on the site, and it needs your support!
